ACMTNet: Internet Discussion Group of the American College of Medical Toxicology

What is ACMTNet?

ACMTNet is a moderated mailing list. Subscribers must have access to e-mail. To participate, subscribers send a message by e-mail to the Moderator who decides which messages fall within the scope of ACMTNet. This serves to keep the mailings from becoming cluttered with inappropriate or repetitive material. Appropriate messages are then sent to all subscribers and appear as regular e-mail items. Replies are sent to the Moderator for posting. There is no cost to subscribers above and beyond what they already pay to have access to e-mail.

What is the scope of ACMTNet?

The purpose of ACMTNet is to allow the discussion and rapid exchange of information that is of interest to clinical toxicologists. This might include:
  • Scientific questions
  • Clinical questions
  • News
  • Comments regarding recently published articles

ACMTNet is also used to discuss ACMT business (ACMTNet subscribers who are not ACMT members will not receive these messages)

***Advertising should be excluded from these discussions, as well as personal comments.***

Who can participate in ACMTNet?

Subscription is currently limited to members of the American College of Medical Toxicology, the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology, the Clinical Toxicology Subsection of the Australasian Society of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacologists and Toxicologists, the World Health Organization, the European Association of Poisons Centres and Clinical Toxicologists, and the Food and Drug Administration. Whether and how to include others will be considered as we acquire more experience with the volume of postings, types of material submitted, and the interests of the participants.
